Understand Your Financial Options
The world of healthcare and insurance can be confusing. At PTA, we believe that access to quality care and continuity of that care are critical to a child’s healing and development. We are pleased to be in network with a wide variety of insurance companies. Before scheduling an evaluation or treatment, our friendly and helpful administrative staff will obtain your insurance information and verify your benefits. We will file claims on your behalf, and we will obtain any necessary authorizations. If you do not have insurance, we offer a competitive courtesy discount rate to help make our services affordable for your family. For more information regarding our financial policies and procedures, please view our Patient Welcome Book, linked on this page.
Schedule an Appointment
All new patients must have an evaluation prior to beginning treatment in order to determine the appropriate plan of care. When you are ready to schedule an evaluation, you may call our offices and speak to a referral coordinator, who is ready to answer your questions and assist you with finding the right therapist for your child’s needs. Please be prepared with your child’s insurance information, and be able to describe your concerns to our staff. If you have documentation from a referring provider, please provide it to us before your evaluation, if possible. Referring providers may send this information directly to us with your permission.
Complete New Patient Paperwork
Once one of our referral coordinators has scheduled an evaluation for your child, you will receive an email that contains to the link to your new patient paperwork. Completion of the paperwork and patient history information through this link will save valuable time during your first appointment. This information will help the therapist gain valuable insight into your child’s family, medical and developmental history, and help inform our plan of care to make the most progress with your child.
Schedule Treatment
Once your evaluation is complete and the evaluating therapist has made their recommendations and determined an appropriate plan of care, we will discuss treatment scheduling options with you. Typically, we prefer to give you and your child a recurring weekly appointment time for the frequency and duration recommended by the evaluating therapist. Having a regular treatment schedule helps insure consistent progress is both made and maintained. Our offices are open from 8 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday, with limited appointment times also available on Fridays. Therapy can generally start as soon as the evaluation process is complete, pending any insurance pre-authorization, if required.
